The 802.11ac standard, the fifth generation of wireless technologies, provides transmission speeds up to 1733 Mbit/s per radio module. 802.11ax, the sixth generation of wireless technology, provides up to eight spatial streams per radio in the 5 GHz band and transmission speeds of up to 4.8 Gbps. For example, the WA6628 dual-radio access point can provide connections up to 5.95 Gbps (4.8 Gbps in the 5 GHz band plus 1.15 Gbps in the 2.4 GHz band), sufficient for applications in high user density and providing a higher quality of service from the users’ point of view.
MU-MIMO technology in the channel to/from the user h3>
H3C’s WA6600 Series access points support DL/UL MU-MIMO (DL/UL MU-MIMO), the most important feature of the standard 802.11ax. Thanks to DL/UL MU-MIMO technology, the access point is capable of transmitting data simultaneously to multiple devices. For example, the WA6628 access point can communicate with up to eight devices simultaneously, breaking with the daisy-chain nature of traditional wireless networks, increasing bandwidth utilization, active users, and connection quality in high-density environments.
Access to the intelligent cloud and optimal cost of ownership of a wireless network
The WA6600 series access points comply with the 802.11ax standard. They work with two or three radio modules and provide high-speed data transfer – at least 2 times faster than 802.11ac products under similar conditions. The WA6600 Series offers easier management and maintenance using the H3C Cloudnet platform. Thanks to intelligent spectrum optimization technologies, the series provides mobile cloud access and is capable of increasing coverage, improving access density and stability, and achieving optimal total cost of ownership of the wireless network.
Highly efficient uplink ports communication with support for various speeds
Ethernet ports of the WA6600 access points support various transmission speeds in negotiation mode, including 100 Mbps, 1000 Mbps, 2, 5 Gbit/s and 5 Gbit/s. Models WA6628 and WA6638 have multi-gigabit uplink ports with speeds up to 10 Gbps. Both Ethernet ports on the WA6628 support Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology and can work together to improve reliability and increase throughput.
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA)

The 802.11ax standard uses OFDMA technology, which allows data to be transmitted simultaneously to multiple users. OFDMA involves dividing a channel into subchannels, called resource units (RUs), with specific subcarriers, and assigning such resource units to different users for simultaneous transmission. OFDMA technology provides parallel multi-user transmission and reduced latency by eliminating channel contention.
Spatial multiplexing
802.11 ax assigns a different color to each BSS, which helps the WA6600 detect adjacent channel interference and stop transmission. If a radio detects 802.11ax signals from a BSS with the same color as the radio’s BSS color, it is detected as adjacent channel interference and causes data transmission to stop. This allows you to optimize the use of the same frequencies and increase network capacity.
Target Wake Time (TWT)
The TWT mechanism provides increased energy efficiency and reduces competition for resources by increasing client sleep periods and the ability to coordinate the time at which clients access the transmission medium.
Built-in Bluetooth module
H3C’s WA6600 Series Access Points feature built-in Bluetooth connectivity to a console up to 10 meters away, reducing installation and maintenance work, simplifying troubleshooting and provides support for iBeacon parameter negotiation.
Service support for IoT
Given the diverse use cases in the IoT era, The WA6622 and WA6638 access points have an IoT port for installing H3C T300 IoT modules. They provide support for various short-range, low-power IoT services such as BLE, RFID, ZigBee and UWB. The IoT port on these access points can connect up to ten T300 modules. Both this IoT port and the network port support Link Aggregation Control (LACP) technology to improve availability and throughput.
Eco-friendly design
The WA6600 series access points adopt green solutions that support Dynamic Power Saving for MIMO (DMPS), Enhanced Automatic Power Saving Devices (E-APSD), and intelligent detection of the actual requirements of terminal devices. They are capable of dynamically adjusting MIMO operating mode and efficiently put terminals into sleep mode.
WA6600 access points feature an eco-friendly access point mode, which provides the ability to put individual radios on standby and more closely control the power saving mode.
WA6600 access points support innovative Packet Power Control (PPC) technology, which significantly reduces standby power consumption and increases battery life of mobile devices .
Local data transfer
WA6600 access points support both centralized and local data transfer. When using centralized data transfer, access points tunnel incoming data frames to the access controller, which processes the data frames. When using local data transfer, the access points process the data frames themselves. Local data transfer mode significantly saves wired network bandwidth.
Dual stack of IPv4 and IPv6 protocols (standard IPv6 support)
WA6600 access points are fully IPv6 compatible and support dual IPv4/IPv6 protocol stack. They are capable of automatically communicating with an access controller to provide wireless services over both an IPv4 and IPv6 network so that they do not act as isolated information silos.
Endpoint Access Control (EAD)
One of the key components of the H3C iMC management system, the EAD integrates solutions to ensure network access security and end device security so that only wireless clients that meet the mandatory requirements of corporate security policies can access the network. When used in conjunction with a security policy server, the solution can send reminders to users, isolate and disconnect them from the network if systems become infected or do not have the necessary update packages. Only wireless clients that meet security policy requirements are allowed on the network. This raises the level of security of the wireless network as a whole.
Remote data collection and analysis
WA6600 access points can act as remote sensors to collect and analyze data on a wireless network, collecting information about channels and transmitting information to a local device for further analysis. This is often necessary to implement monitoring and maintenance of a wireless network. p>
Radio frequency optimization module (ROE)
ROE module due to Feature- and protocol-level RF optimization enables higher speeds and better quality of service in medium-to-high-density user environments and streaming media applications, including multi-user fairness, mixed fair access, interference filtering, speed optimization, and band navigation , multicast optimization (IPv4/IPv6), per-packet power control, and intelligent bandwidth guarantees.
Real-Time Spectrum Security (RTSG)
Real-Time Spectrum Security (RTSG) is H3C’s innovative professional health monitoring software solution for the wireless spectrum. H3C’s 802.11ax series access points support a built-in RF data acquisition module that allows you to build tightly integrated, real-time spectrum monitoring and protection systems.
RTSG console is embedded into the intelligent management system iMC (intelligent Management Center) and provides data acquisition through the CAPWAP tunnel management system and sensor access points. This allows you to monitor wireless signal quality, track trends, and generate tamper alerts 24×7. Active polling and RF interference detection (Wi-Fi or non-Wi-Fi) in each 2.4 GHz/5 GHz band provides graphical display of real-time spectral density FFT plot, spectrum chart, occupancy map, event charts spectrum, channel gain and interference gain. In addition, RTSG allows you to automatically determine the source of interference, detect the location of unauthorized wireless network equipment, and constantly maintain it in normal operating condition. Combined with the H3C iMC IAR (Intelligent Analysis Report) module, it can provide a complete history of coverage quality in an area, including tracking and playback of its parameters, and automatically generate tailored trend reports, compliance analysis reports and reports on audit.
Depending on user requirements for monitoring the wireless network, the RTSG solution can be deployed in local mode or monitoring mode. In local mode, effective spectrum protection is realized without affecting the normal connection of users and the forwarding of data packets.

Anchor access controller mode

Cloud management
H3C Cloud Managed Access Points are designed based on the Cloudnet platform, which allows administrators to manage cloud access points directly, such as viewing the real-time status of cloud access points and downloading configurations from the cloud to cloud access points. This significantly improves network efficiency, increases its security and stability.
Intelligent load balancing
WA6600 access points support load balancing based on sessions and traffic. When the access point’s upper load limit is reached, the access controller rejects join requests from new clients and redirects clients to other access points with less load. A distinctive feature of the H3C intelligent load balancing algorithm from existing load balancing mechanisms is that load balancing is applied only to clients that are in an area of overlapping radio coverage from different access points. This allows you to achieve maximum wireless network capacity.
Unified intelligent management of wired and wireless networks
All wireless products H3C solutions support management through the Wireless Service Manager (WSM) module of the H3C Intelligent Management Center (IMC) network management system. The WSM module provides unified management of wired and wireless networks, allowing you to add wireless network management functions to your existing wired network management system.
WSM provides a simple and user-friendly platform for administrators wireless networks. It provides dashboards for wireless network management, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, software version control, configuration management, and wireless user access management. In addition, it can be used to manage devices on a wired network by interacting with other IMC components.
