The S6860 series includes H3C’s proprietary smart data center switches that feature rich data center functionality and IPv6 forwarding capabilities. The series offers flexible combinations of high-density 10GE, 40GE and 100GE ports. Designed with dual modular power supplies and removable fan modules, the S6860 series switches can be used to create highly redundant infrastructures.

The switches are suitable for switching 10GE connections with high port density or for use at the 40GE/100GE aggregation level in data centers and cloud infrastructure networks. In addition, they can operate as top-of-rack (TOR) access switches in overlay or converged networks.
