Exceptional quality and indestructible design
The IE4300 Series Industrial Ethernet Switches are the most advanced Ethernet switches designed to withstand industrial environments and operation over a wide temperature range. All models are built with industrial-grade components that far exceed the reliability of typical commercial units when operating in similar environments.
Fanless, free-cooling design. Thanks to numerous heat dissipation components such as built-in heat sinks and thermal paste, the devices are able to operate stably in harsh environments. Operating temperature range is from -40°C to 75°C.
Shock and vibration resistant, dustproof, IP40 specification.
High degree of electromagnetic shielding, resistance to electrostatic discharge, voltage surges/surges/fast transients, pulsed magnetic fields, radiated electric fields.
Extensive software functionality
The industrial-grade IE 4300 series switches provide switching, routing, loop protection, and security features.

Supports a full range of Layer 2 Ethernet features, including 802.1Q-based virtual local area networks (VLANs), protocol-based VLANs, voice VLANs, guest VLANs, Q -in-Q, flexible encapsulation of Q-in-Q tags and multicast VLANs; STP/RSTP/MSTP protocols, Ethernet 802.3x flow control protocol; Congestion control is supported through a QoS mechanism using data classification to prioritize the most important traffic; Supports Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP), Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP), Device Discovery Protocol (DLDP), Generic Attribute Registration Protocol (GARP), Layer 2 multicast, and Layer 2 features such as VLAN Registration Protocol and suppression broadcast storms.
The IE4300 series switches support a dual stack of IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, as well as IPv4 and IPv6 forwarding at full media speed, implemented in hardware. The series devices support IPv4/v6 static routing, routed port, RIP and OSPF protocols (to a limited extent). It also supports IGMP snooping and filtering, DHCP server, DHCP client, DHCP snooping and filtering, DHCP relay (with Option 82 field), and Domain Name System (DNS).
The IE4300 series switches support Rapid Loop Protection Protocol (RRPP). The Fast Loop Protection Protocol (RRPP) is a link-layer protocol designed for Ethernet ring topologies. It prevents broadcast storms caused by data loops during normal Ethernet ring operation, and also quickly restores data paths between nodes when the connection in the ring is broken by activating backup channels. Compared to the STP protocol, RRPP has the following advantages: fast topology convergence (within 50 milliseconds); Convergence time is independent of Ethernet ring size. In intersecting rings, topology updates in an RRPP ring are not reflected in other rings, making data transmission more stable. In addition, RRPP supports load balancing across Ethernet rings, allowing for greater utilization of physical link bandwidth.
The IE4300 Series industrial-grade switches provide a full range of features security for Ethernet networks. By enforcing a range of security mechanisms, these switches can effectively limit the spread of malware and attacks targeting traffic flows. The switches implement layer 2-4 access control lists (ACLs) and capabilities to block processor attacks, ARP attacks, and denial of service (DoS) attacks. IEEE 802.1x port-level authentication is a client-server access control and authentication protocol that prevents unauthorized users from connecting to a local network through public ports. TACACS+ and RADIUS authentication protocols provide centralized management of switches and prevent unauthorized changes to user settings. In addition, based on them, EAD (End-point Admission Domination) user security verification functions can be quickly deployed, as well as IPv6 source address validation based on SAVI.
Visualization capabilities
H3C’s industrial-grade IE4300 series switches support telemetry technology. It allows switch resource information and alarms to be sent in real time to the operations and maintenance (O&M) platform using the GRPC protocol. The O&M platform enables historical network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, event alerts, structural optimization, and other functions to ensure the required level of user service through real-time data analytics.
Eco-friendly features
The IE4300 series switches feature various power-saving features, including automatic interface power-off (automatic power-saving on port level). If the interface remains inactive for a certain period of time, the system automatically turns off power to the interface and puts it into power saving mode. In addition, the devices support Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) technology, which puts ports into a power-saving mode if they are inactive for a certain period of time. The switches meet all key environmental and EU RoHS safety requirements.
Comprehensive authentication systems
The IE4300 series industrial switches support Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA), RADIUS authentication, and dynamic and static mapping of user accounts, IP address, MAC address, VLAN, and port number. In addition, the switches support the H3C iMC network management system for real-time user management, detection and mitigation of network attacks.
Extensive management capabilities
The IE4300 series industrial switch supports SNMPv1/V2/v3 management, Intelligent Management Center (iMC), Command Line Interface (CLI), Web interface, TELNET and FTP configuration. In addition, SSH2.0 and SSL encryption is supported to protect the control channel.
Power failure alarms
H3C’s IE4300 Series industrial switches feature power supply redundancy and power failure alarms.
H3C’s IE4300 Series industrial switches support transmission Dying Gasp signal to generate alarms when power is lost.
